In Situ Hybridization for Research

The histology research lab is equipped to run ACD’s RNAscope using the Leica Bond RX automated detection system.

How Spatial Genomic ISH Works

Leading the field in spatial genomics, RNAscope Technology is a novel in situ hybridization (ISH) assay for detection of target RNA within intact cells. The assay represents a major advance in RNA ISH approaches with its proprietary probe design to amplify target-specific signals but not background noise from non-specific hybridization.

ACD sells distinctive detection kits for each platform that are not interchangeable, please make sure you order the correct detection kit.

For Leica automated detection singleplex kit please use,

RNAscope 2.5 LSx Reagent Kit – RED order number – 322750

For Leica automated detection duplex kit please use,

RNAscope 2.5 LS Duplex Reagent Kit order number – 322440

We can run both singleplex and duplex assays. Researchers are responsible for ordering correct detections kits through ACD and acquiring the probes of interest that correspond to the experiment desired.

Catalog and Made-to-Order Probes

Probes ordered have to be compatible with our detection system, if doing singleplex, probes must be for Leica singleplex assays. Alternatively, if ordering for duplex, probes must be ordered for Leica duplex assays. These probes are not interchangeable and cannot be used on different platform systems, including manual detection. YOU MUST be specific when ordering a probe, that you are ordering it for the correct platform and detection system.

ISH RNAscope pricing

Pricing for each detection type is priced per slide and it is up to the researcher to assess how many slides will be needed to complete the desired experiment. Please consider control slides, optimization slides and any repeats into your calculations.

The single plex kit from ACD includes the red chromogen detection and is “ready to use”, therefore this is reflected in the kit cost and our price per slide cost. The duplex kit from ACD does not include the chromogen detection. We are providing the chromogen detection for both channels, red and green. The kit does not include titer containers, we are also providing these to the researcher. The price per slide is reflecting the additional supplies required for duplex runs.

Singleplex $55.90 per slide

Duplex $151.80 per slide
